Jamie Caven continued his good run of form by winning the Meadow Lane Open at Notts County FC on Sunday 22nd April.Caven who had reached the semi-final of the UK Open qualifiers the previous Sunday beat fellow PDC pros Nigel Heydon, Scott Rand and Phil Taylors’ nemesis in last year’s World Championship James Richardson to secure the Title and the £1000 winner’s cheque.These two confidence boosters will do him no harm as he prepares to fly out to Austria on Thursday for the first of the European Qualifiers where he will face Michael Smith in the first round on Friday 27th.
