Legendary darts commentator Sid Waddell passed away on Sunday 11th August at the age of 72. Waddell who had been diagnosed with bowel cancer last year was unquestionably the voice of darts. His unique ability to convey his thoughts in remarkable historic quotes and unforgettable quips put him right up there with the legendary commentators from any sport in any era.Sid who was born in Northumberland and was a passionate Newcastle supporter will be sadly missed.
