Darren Webster performed the perfect leg in his 6-1 victory over Kim Hybrechts in the PDC Summer Series last Sunday (12 July ). His 9 dart finish came on the last day of the 5 day event held behind closed doors at The Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes. The competition was a resounding success and considering the challenges, congratulations should go to the PDC team for putting it together. World number 29 Webster had a great tournament, only failing to pick up prize money on one of the five days. Unfortunately it was not enough for Darren to make the cut for the World Matchplay but should there be another series of qualifiers held after the summer, Webster would be in a good position to qualify for the Grand Prix. The question is, as with all the major tournaments on this years tour, is where and when, and ultimately will there be a time when crowds will be allowed to attend a sport that cries out for atmosphere of a live audience.
